My earliest fishing memory takes me back to the early '80s, nestled in the back of my Dad's bivvy by a small lake in the Cotswold Water Park. I can still recall the excitement of those days and the overpowering smell of too much vinegar on my chippy supper on the particular night in question! As a youngster, I was incredibly fortunate to be surrounded by some of the 'legends' who helped shape what we now recognise as the modern carp bait scene, the likes of Jonny Allen, Bob Baker (RIP), and Rod Hutchinson (RIP, Rod and I share the same birthday!)

Having spent most of my youth experimenting with flavours, additives, and rolling baits in my parents' kitchen—much to my mother's dismay!—and fishing various waters both locally and beyond, I've now accumulated nearly forty years of fishing experience. My passion hasn't been limited to just carp; I've pursued many other beautiful species found in this country.

For as long as I can remember, my father Keith and I have been quietly supplying companies with specialised bait components. Now, I'm incredibly excited to actively contribute to a true legacy—Cotswold Baits.
