I’ve been an avid carp angler for most of my life and have been fortunate enough to fish in some amazing waters. These range from small, intimate, and challenging lakes to large, low-stocked pits. During my teenage years, I spent a lot of time fishing at some of the country’s top day-ticket venues, where I also competed in the BYCAC.
Fishing in a variety of these waters has taught me the importance of being versatile in my angling approach to consistently get bites.
I firmly believe that effort equals reward, and being different can help you catch a few extra carp along the way.
Bait and ingredients have always been a significant interest of mine, and I take great pride in rolling my own custom hook baits to the highest possible standard. Using high-quality bait that the carp want to eat is essential, especially when targeting highly pressured carp or singling out a specific single quarry.
